NBA Analyst Skip Bayless bashes LA Lakers star Anthony Davis for disappearing against the Sacramento Kings

The Los Angeles Lakers suffered a massive defeat against the Sacramento Kings 110-125 as Anthony Davis struggled in the entire game registering only nine points in the game. He only scored four points in the first half and NBA analyst Skip Bayless made sure to give him a earful on social media.

Following his horrendous show in the first half, Bayless took to X, formerly known as Twitter, where he praised LeBron James for his efforts but based Davis for struggling in the entirety of the first half. The big man disappeared exactly when his team needed him.

“LeBron played and shot it great. But here we go AGAIN. AD stood for Always Disappearing,” Bayless tweeted.

With AD struggling to get his shots away, the Lakers were outscored by the Kings in the first quarter 38-25. Later, they trailed 72-59 at half-time. Later the Lakers were behind by 26 points in the second half before ultimately losing 125-110.

Davis finished with nine points, and four blocks on 33.3% shooting in 35 minutes. His nine-point outing is his joint season-low. He also scored nine points in the Lakers’ 108-107 defeat against the Miami Heat.

The Lakers entered Wednesday night against the Kings after winning three consecutive games. However, all three of them were against struggling teams such as the Phoenix Suns, Portland Trail Blazers and the Memphis Grizzlies.

LeBron James and D’Angelo Russell were exceptional on the night as they combined for 56 points. But it was not enough as the Kings were simply brilliant on the night. Domantas Sabonis, Kevin Huerter and De’Aaron Fox combined to score 86 points together.

With this defeat, the Lakers hold a 6-6 record and have dropped back to .500. They seem like a very average mid-table team in the Western Conference. They will have to outperform themselves to pose a threat to the top teams in their conference.

The Los Angeles Lakers will next face the Portland Trail Blazers on Friday, who are also struggling to find their feet. The Blazers have had a poor start to their season as they hold a record of 3-8. It is a comparatively new team after Damian Lillard’s departure and they will take time to settle.
