NBA Analyst Tim Bontemps feels that the Gold State Warriors can only go as far as Steph Curry can take them in the upcoming NBA season

The past couple of seasons have been disappointing according to Golden State Warriors’ standards. But this upcoming NBA season there is a new hope at the Chase Center. Injuries and inconsistent performances have hindered the team’s progress in recent years.

Most of the first team regulars have missed some matches due to injuries in recent years. But the biggest absentee out of them all was shooting guard Klay Thompson. His long term injury left Steph Curry alone for the last season. Therefore the Warriors will want Thompson to be back in action for the upcoming season.

Nevertheless, Curry will be the main man for the franchise. The 33-year-old is definitely one of the best shooters in the league and has that persona to lead from the front. While the Warriors are going gung ho to acquire new talented players, Curry still remains the main man for them.

Recently NBA analyst Tim Bontemps claimed that the Gold State Warriors’ success depends on “The Chef”.

“The Warriors are gonna go as far as Steph Curry takes them,” said Bontemps. “And if Steph Curry gets hurt, whether they have Avery Bradley or Isaiah Thomas on the roster, it’s not gonna make any difference in terms of whether they’re gonna sink or swim. If Steph misses 8-9 games like he did last year, Golden State’s gonna be really good.

“If he misses twice that many games or more, they’re gonna be in a lot of trouble. So I think this is one of those things where it’s obviously a need, but it’s one of those things that they’re not gonna find a replacement to do what Steph does anyway.”

Curry dropped some exceptional numbers and was in NBA MVP conversations despite his side not being able to make it to the playoffs. The 33-year-old will hope that this season he finds some help from his fellow teammates and they manage to finish in a good position leading to the playoffs. With a fully fit Curry supported by a healthy Klay Thompson, Draymond Green, returning veteran Andre Iguodala and a bunch of youngsters the glory days may come back at the Chase Center very soon.
