The incident occurred during Orlando’s 106-100 loss at Madison Square Garden on Sunday, adding another disciplinary mark to Bane’s recent record.

With 6:13 left in the fourth quarter, Anunoby drove hard to the basket and collided with two Orlando defenders, sending all three players tumbling beyond the end line. As the ball rolled free, Bane picked it up and launched it into the left side of Anunoby’s body while the forward was still down on the floor. Officials immediately assessed a technical foul on Bane, prompting further review from the league office.
