Nikola Jokic Records 7th Fastest Triple-Double in NBA History as Nuggets Triumph Over Hawks

On Wednesday evening in Denver, Nikola Jokic added another remarkable chapter to his storied career during the Nuggets’ home game against the Atlanta Hawks. The reigning MVP dazzled with a dominant performance, recording 23 points, 17 rebounds, 15 assists, and one block while shooting an efficient 8/16 from the field and a perfect 1/1 from beyond the arc in just 30 minutes of play.

In doing so, Jokic etched his name in NBA history once again, achieving the seventh fastest triple-double on record. According to StatMamba, the Serbian superstar completed the feat in just 20 minutes and 16 seconds, further cementing his legacy as one of the greatest all-around players in league history.

Jokic already holds the record for the fastest triple-double, set in 2018, when he accomplished it in an astonishing 14 minutes and 33 seconds.

Elite Company in Triple-Double Speed

The list of fastest triple-doubles is a testament to Jokic’s versatility and dominance. StatMamba’s data shows that Jokic is the only player to appear twice on the list, summing up his consistency over the years.

Coming into the game, Jokic boasted stellar season averages of 31.0 points, 12.9 rebounds, 9.5 assists, and 1.8 steals per game, while shooting an impressive 56.4% from the field and 49.2% from three-point range. The Nuggets, currently fifth in the Western Conference standings, improved to 18-13 on the season with the win.

Denver has been in solid form, winning seven of their last ten games and now riding a two-game winning streak. At home, they’ve been formidable, holding a 9-5 record at Ball Arena.

Jokic’s brilliance continues to anchor Denver’s success. A three-time MVP over the past four seasons, the Serbian center remains the team’s undisputed leader, and his all-around contributions keep the Nuggets in contention in the tightly contested Western Conference.

Following their victory over the Hawks, the Nuggets will look to extend their winning streak when they host the San Antonio Spurs on Friday night. With Jokic in top form, Denver is poised to strengthen its playoff position as the season progresses.
