Cade Cunningham powered the Detroit Pistons to a historic milestone on Monday, scoring 24 points and pulling down 11 rebounds in a 122-117 victory over the Indiana Pacers. The performance helped Detroit clinch its 13th straight win, tying the longest winning streaks in franchise history—previously set during the 1989-90 and 2003-04 seasons, both of which ended with NBA Finals triumphs.
“It’s amazing,” Cunningham said after the game. “We play for the Detroit Pistons, a historic franchise. To be able to make history for a historic franchise like this is special.”
Though Cunningham’s run of six consecutive 25-point, 10-assist games came to an end, he still added six assists to guide Detroit to a 15-2 record, the best in the Eastern Conference. Caris LeVert provided 19 points off the bench, while Jalen Duren contributed 17 points and 12 rebounds. Indiana had a chance to tie the game late, but Bennedict Mathurin missed a three-pointer with 11 seconds left before LeVert iced the contest with two free throws.
In Toronto, Brandon Ingram delivered a season-high 37 points as the Raptors secured a 110-99 win over the Cleveland Cavaliers. Scottie Barnes added 18 points and 11 rebounds, helping Toronto stretch its winning streak to eight games—its longest since the 2019-20 season. Now 13-5, the Raptors sit second in the East. Cleveland fell to 12-7, snapping a three-game winning run. Raptors coach Darko Rajakovic praised Ingram’s all-around impact, saying, “Brandon did a great job… He did a great job of getting to his spots and then getting good looks. I thought Brendon also did a great job defensively… He’s going both ways on the floor and really helping us to get wins.”
In Brooklyn, Karl-Anthony Towns tallied 37 points and 12 rebounds, and Jalen Brunson added 27 as the New York Knicks overcame the Nets 113-100. Noah Clowney led Brooklyn with 31 points.
Miami continued its surge with a 106-102 victory over the Dallas Mavericks. Tyler Herro scored 24 points, and Kel’el Ware delivered a dominant 20-point, 18-rebound performance as the Heat picked up their fifth straight win to improve to 12-6.
Denver’s Nikola Jokic added another triple-double to his tally—17 points, 16 assists, and 10 rebounds—in a 125-115 win over Memphis. Jamal Murray chipped in with 29 points, while Peyton Watson scored 27 as the Nuggets secured their 10th win in 12 games and improved to 13-4.
Elsewhere, Jerami Grant’s 35 points lifted Portland to a 115-103 win over Milwaukee, and Zion Williamson’s 29 points led eight double-figure scorers in New Orleans’ 143-130 triumph over Chicago.
