Steph Curry is the greatest shooter that God ever created, but when LeBron walks into a building, it’s a different animal – Stephen A. Smith

Steph Curry and LeBron James are regarded as the two best basketball players of the current era. While Curry is regarded as the best shooter of all time, James is well known for his all-around game. However, NBA analyst Stephen A. Smith believes LeBron James is ahead of Steph Curry if we compare the two talismans.

Both of these players have won four NBA championships each in their careers and have always ticked the right boxes on the court. Curry had led Golden State Warriors to the championship in the previous season while James had a good personal season with the Lakers but the team didn’t do well.

Stephen A. Smith said while talking on Breakfast Club, “To me, Curry’s my favorite player. But I can tell you that as a guy that goes to the arenas, man. When LeBron walks in, it’s just a different feel.

“As much as you love Curry and as much as you love watching Golden State, as entertaining as they are, I think he’s the greatest shooter that ever lived, the greatest shooter that God ever created, but when LeBron walks into a building, it’s a different animal.”

On the other hand, James is well known for his social activist role and his charity work. Smith feels this aspect of James also puts him ahead of Curry.

“When they talk about LeBron, you can’t avoid talking about everything. When you talk about Curry, you can’t help but talk about only basketball because there’s nothing else that he gives you. LeBron gives you more because of the issues he’s willing to tackle, and his willingness to speak out.

Both Curry and James are brilliant in their respective ways and the world of basketball is fortunate to have two big players like them in the same era.

Curry and James will be up against one another when Golden State Warriors will face the LA Lakers on 19th October.
