“The guy is cold-blooded,” Phoenix Suns coach Frank Vogel praises Devin Booker after his clutch game-winning three against the Knicks

Devin Booker came up with a clutch shot to help the Phoenix Suns win over the New York Knicks on Sunday. Ultimately, the Suns won the fixture 116-113 as Booker scored the winning shot in the final seconds of the fourth quarter. It was a brilliant three-point bomb from the Suns superstar as he was super cool under pressure.

Although he was heavily guarded, the youngster still found a way to get his shot away, proving his class. His winning shot was so exceptional that Suns coach Frank Vogel was also very hyped for Booker.

Vogel couldn’t stop praising Booker at the post-game interview. He revealed that he expected the Knicks to double-team Booker in the absence of Bradley Beal and Kevin Durant. But despite all of their best efforts, Booker still finds a way to win the clash. Vogel simply couldn’t stop praising his superstar talent.

“We knew that with [Kevin Durant] out, they were going to double-team [Booker] a lot,” Vogel said. “It’s Devin Booker, man. The guy is cold-blooded. Big time shot.”

It was an intense battle between the Knicks and the Suns and there were various ebbs and flows in the game throughout the four quarters. Ultimately the scores were tied at 113-113 each when Booker released his three-pointer which won them the game.

He was the standout player of the match, registering a fine double-double with 28 points and 11 assists. He got some serious help from Eric Gordon, who also scored 25 points. But this game will be remembered for Booker’s last-ditch three-point winner.

The Knicks, led by Jalen Brunson and Julius Randle did their best to stage a comeback. Brunson had a brilliant game as he amassed 35 points, eight assists, six rebounds, and two steals. Meanwhile, Randle finished with 28 points and five rebounds. However, their best efforts fell short in the end in front of Booker’s brilliance.

Even with a depleted lineup, Booker showed that he has the leadership to carry the Suns on his own. He is a character beyond his age and has an exceptional talent to be one of the big superstars of the NBA in the upcoming era.

It will be interesting to see how Vogel manages his combination once Kevin Durant and Bradley Beal return to the court. They can be a very deadly trio if Vogel sorts out the chemistry and combination issues.
