Akliouche wants PSG move

Reports from France say attacker Maghnes Akliouche has said he prefers a move to the European champions, Paris Saint-Germain, to Premier League side Liverpool.

The 24-year-old, who is currently on the books of AS Monaco, is being courted by the Merseyside outfit as they consider him an alternative to Yan Diomande, who is set to move to Real Madrid.

Akliouche has also reportedly informed Liverpool that he wishes to join the Ligue 1 giant should he leave Monaco this summer.

Foot Mercato reported that the Premier League club had enquired about the French international playmaker’s availability in recent days, as Andoni Iraola want to make some attacking reinforcement into the squad that will be without Mohammed Salah next season.

The Reds were on the verge of submitting a higher offer to Les Monégasques than what Les Parisiens have already offered, but the attacker seems to have made up his mind.

PSG also seem to be hellbent on increasing their latest offer for the Frenchman, which is believed to be in the region of €40m.

As things stand, even if  Liverpool submit a higher bid than the Ligue 1 champions, it is unlikely to make a difference, as he states his preference for his next move. 

Meanwhile, L’Équipe reported that the current Champions League holders are preparing to submit a fourth offer to the Principality club to secure Akliouche’s services, having already seen three offers firmly rejected by Monaco for the 24-year-old. 

It is therefore expected that PSG submit a new bid that will be higher than the previous amount offered and be close to the amount Liverpool were prepared to offer, as the talent has already decided his future should the move happen.

If Akliouche moves to the club, he is expected to play a huge role, as he can also play in the midfield and the flanks.

This will be a great addition to their ranks, and more creativity will be expected from the team, which will be willing to go all-out after last season’s success.
