Antonio Conte happy as Tottenham boss; lashes out at disrespectful Juventus links

Juventus are in a spot of bother in the current Serie A season and Massimiliano Allegri’s job is in danger. Therefore recently there were rumours of Antonio Conte replacing Allegri. Conte who has earlier managed Juventus knows the club inside out and could been a very good option for the Bianconeri if they wanted a mid-season switch. However Conte himself has denied the speculation and has called them disrespectful. He also stated that he is happy at Tottenham Hotspur.

The Old Lady have just mustered two wins from seven outings in the Serie A this season and are desperately looking for some positivity in the ongoing season to turn it around. Therefore rumours have come out that Juve management are looking at options to replace Allegri and their best pick is Antonio Conte due to his favourable contract situation at Tottenham which is set to expire next summer.

However Conte has rejected any links with Juventus and stated that he is happy at Spurs. “This is incredible,” the 53-year-old said. “In this period I think this is disrespectful for the coach that works in Juventus and for me working in Tottenham.”

Conte joined Spurs in November 2021 and since then has guided them to the Champions League. However he has always been linked with moves away from North London and he has had to state a couple of times that he is happy and content at his job in North London. “We have just started the season. Many times I have spoken about this topic and I’ve always said I’m happy and enjoying my time with Tottenham,” Conte added.

“We have the whole season to find the best solution for the club and for me, and for sure, I’m enjoying my time at Tottenham.”

He highlighted how he has a great relationship with the Spurs owner and director Fabio Paratici and feels there are no complications at Spurs right now. He also lashed out at the speculations stating that he does not want to hear them again. “I have a great relationship with the owner and [Fabio] Paratici [Spurs managing director of football]. I don’t see any problems at the moment in the future. We both signed the contract. I don’t want to listen to someone speaking about this [speculation],” he concluded.
