Arsenal’s Declan Rice bid rejected by West Ham

Arsenal’s summer transfer business has started on a bad note as West Ham United have rejected their first bid ore England midfielder Declan Rice.

Arsenal is one of the biggest admirers of the 24-year-old England midfielder who was in the thick of things as the Hammers won the UEFA Europa Conference league last week by beating Fiorentina in Prague.

Since beating the Italians and concluding the 2020 to 2023 season Declan Rice and West Ham United have both revealed that the midfielder would exit the club for a bigger challenge.

Arsenal, Manchester City, and Bayern Munich are the three sides who are considered to be his next destinations potentially.

Meanwhile, one of the reasons why Arsenal’s first bid for Declan Rice was not accepted was because it contained a couple of classes that the Hammers were not willing to agree to.

However, despite public interests, especially with Bayern Munich manager Thomas Tuchel willing to bring Rice to the Allianz Arena in Germany, there is no official bid yet reported.

It’s a similar case for Manchester City, who have no official comment yet from the club or manager Pep Guardiola, who is set to lose Ilkay Gundogan and Bernardo Silva this summer, with both player’s imminent exit drawing closer.

The 24-year-old Declan Rice made his debut for West Ham United in the 2016/2017 season after graduating from The Hammers Academy and has managed to play 245 games and score 15 goals for them.

He played 5 games as the Three Lions got to the quarter-final of the FIFA World Cup in Qatar last winter, which took his England cap to 41.

He still has 1-year left on his West Ham United contract with an option to extend until the summer of 2025, which has made it possible for West Ham United to hold out for a larger transfer fee.
