English Premier League side Aston Villa have joined hosts of top clubs wanting the signature of Paris Saint-Germain’s Randal Kolo Muani.
The race for the 26-year-old’s signature is hotting up, with Villa being the latest club to join the race.
Kolo Muani is out of favor at PSG, which has led to his being dropped from Luis Enrique’s most recent matchday squads.
According to a report from L’Équipe, his future does not lie at the Parc des Princes as the transfer window has finally opened.
With his demotion at the club, the former Eintracht Frankfurt is on the radar of clubs from across Europe showing interest in him.
Tottenham Hotspur and Manchester United are also interested in the 26-year-old. Now that they have been joined by Aston Villa, the list of clubs that have enquired about the striker has grown.
Other clubs interested in the Frenchman include AC Milan and Juventus, RB Leipzig, and Bayern Munich.
L’Équipe reported he is likely to go to Germany, although that could change.
PSG want €60m for the forward. This figure could be a stumbling block to cough out in the winter window by the clubs, but a loan with an option to make the move permanent would also be accepted.
Meanwhile, Chelsea aren’t among the top clubs interested in him, as Foot Mercato reported that the France international has been frequently omitted from PSG’s matchday squads in recent weeks.
According to Foot Mercato, Chelsea would act on that interest in the coming days by contacting PSG directly regarding the forward, but L’Équipe denied that the Blues are interested in him.
With the latest development, it is left to see if he will eventually depart from PSG, at least on loan, to get some minutes under his belt.
