Atlético Madrid show interest in signing Boubacar Kamara

Indications have shown that Spanish La Liga side, Atletico Madrid is interested in signing, Marseille’s Boubacar Kamara.

According to Goal France, Kamara, whose contract will end at the end of the season, could be set to join Atlético Madrid this summer.

This is following his refusal to on every renewal offer made to him by OM president Pablo Longoria. Thus, the 22-year-old will, in all likelihood, leave his formative club.

Reports already said Kamara is interested in a move to the Spanish capital, with Los Colchoneros following him for some years now.

Marseille had wanted to at least make some cash on him when the La Liga side made an offer this winter, but it was a low one that was rejected.

Meanwhile, there are other clubs interested in the Frenchman. They include Premier League sides, Manchester United, Tottenham Hotspur, and German champions, Bayern Munich.

With such interest from the top club, there is a likelihood that Kamara’s potential wage demands could increase.

According to reports in France, Atleti remains confident that h will join them. Although the midfielder will choose Spain, in particular thanks to the sporting project presented to him.

Kamara could make his decision next month should he remain at Marseille or choose another club. He can also sign a pre-contract agreement with any club of his choice once an agreement has been reached with his representatives.

Meanwhile, Atlético Madrid have identified Barcelona’s Sergi Roberto as a plan B.

In another development, Jordan Veretout could return to the Ligue 1 with Marseille.

The midfielder who had left Nantes for Roma seems to not fit into José Mourinho’s plans.

The 29-year-old former Nantes player does not seem to fit into José Mourinho’s plans.

This will be a good addition to the team should he leave, as he will add value to the squad that could qualify for Champions League next season.
