Bayern Munich eyes Juventus defender

Juventus centre-back Gleison Bremer has surfaced as a key transfer target for FC Bayern Munich, with the German giants eyeing a potential move for the 2026-27 season.

According to reports from inside sources, the Bavarian club is actively courting the Brazilian defender as they look to strengthen their backline.

The situation at Juventus has become increasingly urgent.

Having missed out on Champions League qualification, the Turin outfit finds itself under financial pressure and must sell key players to balance the books and fund necessary squad adjustments.

Bremer, a solid performer in Serie A, now appears open to a new challenge.

At 29 years old, the centre-half has expressed a strong desire to win major trophies. Despite eight seasons in Italy, his only major honour remains a single Coppa Italia title.

This ambition makes a move to a top European club like Bayern Munich particularly appealing, as it offers the prospect of competing at the highest level both domestically and in the Champions League.

However, Bremer is not short of options. The report indicates that several unnamed Premier League clubs have also shown interest in securing his signature, potentially sparking a bidding war.

Juventus values the defender at around €40 million, though they hope his participation in the 2026 World Cup with Brazil will significantly boost his market price and attract even stronger offers.

Complicating matters further is a possible swap deal. Bremer’s departure to Munich could pave the way for South Korean defender Kim Min-Jae to return to Italy.

Juventus head coach Luciano Spalletti is reportedly eager to reunite with Kim, having previously guided him to the Serie A title with Napoli in 2023. Such a move would allow both clubs to address defensive needs efficiently.

As the summer transfer window heats up, Bremer’s future remains uncertain. For Juventus, retaining or cashing in on the player at the right price will be crucial for their rebuilding phase.

For Bayern, landing a player of Bremer’s calibre could provide the defensive stability required for another tilt at European glory.
