Bundesliga giants Bayern Munich have not only signed ready-made stars but have also taken a huge step towards preparing for the future.
According to the latest reports, the Bavarians have captured and announced the signing of Adam Aznou, regarded as one of the brightest prospects from the famous La Masia Academy in Barcelona.
Samoa will not train with the first team yet as he will head straight to the Bayern youth team to get familiar with the culture of the club, and if he performs to the satisfaction of the youth coaches, there might be just that chance for him to fight for a spot in the senior squad.
The 16-year-old is a predominant Left back who also enjoys contributing to the attack with some wonderful crosses. Azmoun was among the list of young prospects at Barca’s academy last season. However, he failed to progress to another cadre of the youth setup at Catalonia hence his reason for joining Bayern.
Several European clubs were in the race for the teenage signature as reports revealed Leipzig and Real Madrid were also in the mix to land the youngster.
The Barcelona-born player but Morrocan parents couldn’t hide his excitement after joining the club, saying he looks forward to developing his career in Bavaria.
“I am so happy to be here and look forward to continuing my education and development. “Working hard is what I have to do continuously, and I hope to achieve that someday. Can’t wait to get started,” he said.
Azmoun will be the second teenage signing by Bayern this week after French forward Mathys Tel signed from Rennes in a £24m deal.
Up next for Bayern is the game against RB Leipzig in the DFL Supercup.
