Cadiz beat Manchester United 4-2 in friendly match

A largely second-string Manchester United line-up was beaten 4-2 by Cadiz in a Club friendly game that was played on Wednesday.

The match was overseen by Erik Ten Hag, who lined up Martin Dubravka in goal while Aaron Wan Bissaka, Victor Lindelof, 20-year-old defender Teden Mengi and 22-year-old Brandon Williams in the defense.

Zidane Iqbal, Scott McTominay, Anthony Elanga, Donny Van De Beek, and Alejandro Garnacho in a five-person diamond midfield and with French forward Anthony Martial striking.

Cadiz has had a poor start to the La Liga season as they sit in 19th position with just 11 points from 14 games played.

However, Carlos Garcia opened the scoring in the 8th minute, and six minutes later, Honduras forward Choco Lozano.

Anthony Martial scored from the penalty spot in the 21st minute to give United a drawback. After the first half ended 2-1 in favor of Cadiz, the second half was greeted with a flurry of substitutions by both sides, who introduced eleven new players each.

However, 17-year-old English midfielder Kobbie Mainoo scored just three minutes after his introduction to the game.

Ruben Sobrino scored in the 57th minute to put the Spanish side in the lead, while Tomas Alarcon in the 77th minute.

The friendly is the first of the double friendlies that the Red Devils have before the return of competitive club football, which starts with an EFL Cup tie against Burnley but first, they will be a friendly tie against Real Betis on the tenth of December.
