Carlo Ancelotti: Chelsea Return will be an Emotional

 

Former Chelsea boss and Current Everton manager Carlo Ancelotti has said that his return to the Stamford Bridge on Sunday in the English Premier League will be an emotional moment.

The Italian was Chelsea’s manager for two campaigns in 2009/2010 and in 2010/2011 seasons, after which he was sacked.

Nevertheless, Ancelotti managed to win an English Premier League and English FA Cup doubles in his first season.

The Italian stated that he had fantastic memories of the two seasons and period when he was the coach of the Blues, revealing that he is excited about the prospect of going back to London.

The Toffees sit in 11th on the Premier League standings with five points away from Manchester United, who will play against Manchester City on Sunday.

Chelsea goes into the game on Sunday with big morale after beating League leaders Liverpool 2-0 in the English FA Cup Fifth – Round at the Stamford Bridge on Tuesday.

In an interesting plot, Ancelotti will be facing Frank Lampard in the dugout, with the latter facing a Manger he played under as a player.

In his own interview, Frank Lampard stated that he expects the Italian will be given a good reception, given that he is well respected by the club and its fans.

Chelsea, in its last 5 games in all competitions, has won two lost two and drew one while Everton won two drew two and lost one.

On the table, Chelsea has 45 points and sits 4th on the log while Everton are in 11th 37 points, just below Arsenal, who have the same points on goals difference.

League leaders Liverpool will play in the early kick-off against Bournemouth while Arsenal will host West Ham in some of the fixtures.
