Celtic star aim at return to full fitness following injury struggles

Kieran Tierney has seamlessly reintegrated into life at Celtic after returning on a free transfer from Arsenal, where he spent six years.

The 28-year-old, back at the club he cherishes, is working to overcome a history of injuries that have hindered his ability to play a full 90 minutes.

Despite featuring in all four Scottish Premiership matches and the Champions League qualifier against Kairat Almaty, Tierney has yet to complete a game, a challenge manager Brendan Rodgers is eager for him to conquer post-international break.

Rodgers acknowledged that Tierney’s adaptation period was expected due to his injury-plagued recent years, expressing confidence that the defender’s full fitness will return.

He emphasized the cautious approach Celtic has taken, ensuring Tierney’s long-term health while he continues to contribute on the pitch. The manager’s belief in Tierney’s potential remains unwavering, noting his invaluable experience and influence in the dressing room.

Some fans have expressed frustration over Tierney’s inability to last entire matches, but Celtic’s measured strategy prioritizes his recovery and long-term performance.

Known for his exceptional talent, Tierney’s peak form is anticipated to resurface soon, with September marking a critical period for him to prove his capabilities.

Tierney’s return to Celtic Park has been a homecoming filled with promise, tempered by the need to rebuild his stamina.

His presence bolsters the squad, and as he edges closer to full fitness, expectations are high for the full-back to rediscover the form that once made him a standout.

With Rodgers’ guidance and the support of the Celtic faithful, Tierney’s journey back to his best is one to watch, as he aims to silence doubters and cement his place in the team’s future successes.
