Chiellini: Mbappe will take over from Ronaldo and Messi

Italian defender Giorgio Chiellini has said Paris Saint-Germain forward, Kylian Mbappé will soon be racking up the Ballons d’Or as the future belongs to him.

Chiellini, who plies his trade with Juventus, expressed the belief that the French youngster will soon start winning the highest honour, stated it in his autobiography.

Mbappe is currently the world youngest footballer of the year. The present competition has been between Portugues captain, Cristiano Ronal and his Argentine counterpart, Lionel Messi.

Messi, who is the current holder, is now one ahead of the Portuguese talisman, and age is not on the side of the duo anymore.

Mbappe on his part has been the top scorer in Ligue 1 Conforama in the past two seasons, and he had also won the domestic title for four seasons running, after winning his first with Monaco before linking up with the big spenders initially on a loan deal before it became a permanent agreement.

Mbappe has shown promises of what he is made of and what football lovers will enjoy for the next decade or more.

Having been a world cup winner at such a tender age, Chiellini believes that Mbappe will continue to dazzle throughout his career, adding that he is destined to become an all-time great.

Chiellini, in his autobiography, said Mbappe is destined to become the next global star and to win the Ballons d’Or when Ronaldo and Messi stop playing.

He described the Frenchman as a truly unique player, explaining that the first time he saw him on TV against Manchester City while plying his trade with Monaco, he gave an impressive performance.

The Italian defense marshal further asked Fabio Paratici after the first interval the planet he came from.

It will be recalled that it was the Serie A giant that ended Monaco’s thrilling Champions League run in the last four in 2016-2017.

Speaking on the partnership of Mbappe and Brazilian superstar, Neymar, who joined PSG the same summer the former Monaco player joined, Chiellini believes the Frenchman has the edge over Neymar, who is the current world most expensive player.
