Dani Ceballos wants to remain at Real Madrid

Real Madrid, midfielder Dani Ceballos, has stated that he wants to stay at Santiago Bernabeu and has challenged himself to get an extension at the club.

The 26-year-old Spaniard has four months left on his current contract after joining Real Madrid from Real Betis in 2017. He has made 56 appearances in that period, having gone on a two-year loan at Arsenal in 2019.

With the loan deal, Ceballos’s place at Real Madrid wasn’t certain, but irrespective; the player wants to continue at the club despite making ten La Liga appearances so far.

The player scored his first goal of the season against Villarreal in the Copa Del Rey last week, earning himself a start against Athletic Club in La Liga at the weekend, a game Real Madrid won 2-0.

“There is no bigger club than Madrid. I have four months left on my contract, but I am going to give everything to show that I want to stay here. I have to grit my teeth and show that I have the level to play here. I had a great second half against Villarreal, and I helped the team with a nice comeback. The coach then asked me to start. I have provided energy and desire, and I have shown it on the pitch. I am very happy for the victory, especially in this very difficult stadium”. Ceballos told Real Madrid Tv.

Real Madrid are second on the La Liga table behind Barcelona, with a three-point difference between both teams. Karim Benzema and Toni Kroos scored in a 2-0 win against Athletic Bilbao at the weekend in La Liga.

Meanwhile, Valencia and Almeria played a dramatic 2-2 draw in La Liga on Monday.

After a goalless first half, Justin Kluivert opened the scoring in the 48 minutes of the game, and Chumi equalized for the visitors 8 minutes later.

Jose Gaya put the bats ahead in the 65th minute, moments after they had a goal disallowed. Francisco Portillo then secured a point for the away side nine minutes later.
