Di Lorenzo set for Juventus move as Rabiot nears exit

Reports have emerged from Italy that Napoli captain Giovanni Di Lorenzo reached a total agreement with Juventus as he pushes for a transfer this summer while Adrien Rabiot’s contract ends.

The 30-year-old Italian right-back quickly made it clear at the end of this season that he is leaving the club due to his dissatisfaction with president Aurelio De Laurentiis’s behaviour. The situation pushed his agent, Mario Giuffredi, to publicly state his client’s intentions, and he seems ready to complete a move to the Turin club.

It was gathered that Juventus director Cristiano Giuntoli quickly held talks with the Italian right back as he is interested in bringing him to Turin after their experiences together in the Campania capital.

Meanwhile, some reports emerged about a possible swap deal involving Federico Chiesa.

SportItalia C.E.O. Michele Criscitiello revealed that Di Lorenzo has already decided to join Juventus this summer and has agreed on personal terms with the club. He is now waiting for a deal to be agreed with Napoli.

New Partenopei coach Antonio Conte had already tried to convince the 30-year-old to stay, but the player seems to have made up his mind, and he has informed the club.

In a related development, Milan is monitoring the situation involving Rabiot and asked for information about the status of the French midfielder whose Juventus contract nears expiration.

The 29-year-old French midfielder only signed a one-year renewal with the Old Lady last June, worth around €7m net per season, and has yet to sign a new deal. His current deal is set to expire in under three weeks, and the club is working toward new terms with his mother agent, Veronique.

However, negotiations between Rabiot and Juventus have yet to be simple, and time is starting to run out. Cristiano Giuntoli will continue to work on a deal while the 29-year-old is preparing for the upcoming European Championship with France, where he’s expected to feature prominently.

According to reports, Milan director Geoffrey Moncada has requested information about Rabiot ahead of the summer as he looks to add a new midfielder to the Rossoneri squad. The club have also put Monaco’s Youssouf Fofana, who is ready to leave Ligue 1, on their radar.
