Edouard backed to have a fantastic career at Celtic

Celtic Shot-stopper Fraser Forster has backed his teammate Odsonne Edouard to have a successful career at the Club.

The Club’s number one goalkeeper has been hugely impressed by the 21- year old French striker since he rejoined the Hoops on a season-long loan deal in August from Premier League side Southampton.

The England international keeper is hoping to get the attention of England’s manager Gareth Southgate and admits with his excellent performances in Europe, and he can draw the attention of those in charge of the England team selection.

He looks forward to putting up an excellent performance when his side faces Lazio in tonight’s Europa League Group E at Parkhead. While Forster will looking to put in a good outing against the Italian team, he expects his teammate Edouard to play his part in the opponents half.

When Forster was quizzed about his expectations for Edouard, he said; ” Odsonne has been brilliant, I am happy and look forward to seeing him every day in training. He’s been wonderful for us. During his international outing for France U-21 side, he scored a hat trick” he is a natural goalscorer”. ” If he keeps on to maintain his form and work hard then there will be nothing is going to stop him from having a fantastic career at the Club. He added.

Looking at Edouard, he can score big goals in big games. He’s built for that. His ability to use both feet is an added advantage as this gives opposition defenders a lot to think about when facing him. At a point, you will think he is going one way but changes his mind and goes the other way. He is a very tricky player.

On the other hand, Fraser is looking to get regular call-ups to the England squad. And he has to make sure he put in a lot of work in other for him to get noticed by Southgate.
Celtic look forward to getting a win as they host Italian side Lazio in their Group E match in the Europa League.

Edouard Odsonne is backed at 4.25 to finish as topscorer at the end of the Scottish Premiership, while Defoe Jermaine is available at 2.35 to win the award.
