Europa League: Bayer Leverkusen vs. FC Porto Preview

Date: Thursday, February 20, 2020

Kickoff: 9:00 PM

Venue: Bay Arena, Germany

Match  Preview

The UEFA Europa League is back, and today we take a look at one of the teams that will be in action for tonight’s game. Bayer Leverkusen at home to FC Porto.

Fresh from the elimination in the Champions League, they look to continue their quest for the  European second-tier competition after their exclusion in the Champions League after their loss against Juventus and Atletico Madrid as they sit 5th on the Bundesliga table.

However, F.C Porto is coming into this game following an away win against Vitoria Setubal in the Primera Liga. Porto qualified for the next phase of the competition as they say top of their group G toppling the likes of Rangers and Feyenoord.

The match between these two is tough to predict as Porto has only lost one out of their ten games away from home. But stats have always been against lesser opposition and are yet to face strong teams in Europe this season, and Bayer Leverkusen isn’t bad either.

They boast of an excellent attacking unit, as we’ve always seen in the Bundesliga. They are compact at the back and defend well against the opposition.

Bayer Leverkusen vs. F.C Porto Head-to-Head (h2h)

Bayer Leverkusen has been on a winning streak across all competitions.
