Fulham close to signing Manchester City youngster

Fulham are close to completing a deal to sign Manchester City winger Oscar Bobb, with talks between the clubs progressing well.

Sources say that Marco Silva’s side are advancing towards an agreement for the 22-year-old, who has struggled for regular minutes at the Etihad Stadium this season.

Bobb has slipped down the pecking order at City following the January arrival of Antoine Semenyo from Bournemouth, limiting his opportunities under Pep Guardiola.

Speaking after City’s win over Wolves on Saturday, Guardiola acknowledged the speculation surrounding the Norway international, admitting there were ongoing discussions and suggesting the player is open to a move away.

The winger has made 15 appearances for City this season but has yet to score, and his campaign has been disrupted by injury.

Bobb last featured on 17 December in a Carabao Cup match against Brentford, when he was forced off inside the opening 20 minutes after picking up a knock.

Interest in Bobb has not been limited to the Premier League, with Bundesliga side Borussia Dortmund also monitoring his situation.

Despite his lack of recent club action, he has remained involved at international level, earning six caps for Norway this year as they secured qualification for this summer’s World Cup.

A move to Craven Cottage would see Bobb link up with fellow Norway international Sander Berge, as Fulham continue an impressive season under Silva.

The Cottagers sit seventh in the Premier League table and have lost just once in their last seven matches, most recently beating Brighton 2-1 on Saturday.

Bobb is still rebuilding after a difficult spell last season, when he missed almost the entire campaign after fracturing a bone in his leg during training in August 2024.

Fulham are also active elsewhere in the market, having made a £28m bid for PSV Eindhoven forward Ricardo Pepi as they look to strengthen before the transfer deadline.
