He is a problem to play against – Crystal Palace defender Nathan Ferguson on facing Mason Greenwood

Crystal Palace defender Nathan Ferguson has showered praise on Manchester United rising star Mason Greenwood. Ferguson rated Greenwood as a problem to play against as he can trouble the opposition with his pace and skills. Greenwood is equally good with both of his feet and can breathe down the neck of the opposition.

The youngster has taken giant strides at the top level and he has shown the skills to go a long way in his career. Mason Greenwood started the 2021-22 league season on a high as he scored a goal in each of Manchester United’s opening three matches. But, he was not able to continue his good form for the Red Devils.

However, the 20-year old once again started on a good note under new manager Ralf Rangnick as he scored against Young Boys in the team’s final group stage match of the Champions League. Thus, the youngster will look to continue his good form for Manchester United.

In an interview with UMM, Ferguson said, “I’ve played against this guy in tournaments about four times and he is a problem to play against. He is just quick!”

“It’s cool to see someone you played with playing in the first team. Now he’s playing in the Prem and doing his thing.”

Meanwhile, Ferguson has seen Greenwood from close quarters as he played with him for England U18 in 2018. On the other hand, Nathan Ferguson is all set to make a comeback after almost 17 months after recuperating from a serious knee injury.

The defender had signed for Crystal Palace back in June 2020 from West Ham but could not play even a single match for the London-based club due to his knee injury.

Crystal Palace will next face Tottenham Hotspur on Sunday while Manchester United will take on Newcastle United on Monday.
