He is super humble – Anthony Martial heaps praise on Cristiano Ronaldo

Manchester United forward Anthony Martial has showered praise on Cristiano Ronaldo. The Frenchman revealed that the Portuguese is super humble and he always likes to have a discussion with the young players to guide them on the right path.

Ronaldo is regarded as one of the best players in the world but he is well known for his hard work on and off the pitch. The talisman is known to consistently hit the gym and he is mostly the first one to arrive at the training sessions.

Ronaldo is known to get the best out of his teammates and he has been an inspiration for many youngsters.

Anthony Martial said while talking to France Football, “He’s super humble – and what a hard worker! We often speak when we are at the gym in the morning before going to training and I would watch what he was doing. That’s only logical, it’s Cristiano Ronaldo!”

On the other hand, the French forward picked former Manchester United captain Wayne Rooney as the best teammate he has played with. Martial revealed that the English striker was an ideal team player and gave his best for the team.

“We have spoken about being genuine and so I can speak about Wayne Rooney. He’s the best player I have played with. He’s always playing for the team, always at 100%, no fuss. A monster. And a model as a footballer.”

Meanwhile, Cristiano Ronaldo is yet to score for Manchester United this season. In fact, the linchpin has started in only two matches for the Red Devils and the team has lost both of these fixtures. Ronaldo had scored 18 goals in the previous season of the Premier League and he will look to deliver the goods for Erik Ten Hag’s team.

Manchester United was to take on Crystal Palace but the match has been postponed due to the demise of Queen Elizabeth II.
