The 22-year-old equalized five minutes later with a stunning long-range strike, reigniting Portugal’s hopes and shifting the momentum in their favor.
The comeback was completed in the 68th minute when Nuno Mendes delivered a pinpoint pass to Cristiano Ronaldo, who finished clinically to put Portugal ahead 2–1. The goal showcased Ronaldo’s enduring brilliance and silenced the German crowd, as Portugal took control of the match.
Portugal held firm to their lead until the final whistle, ending Germany’s eight-match unbeaten streak. With this victory, A Seleção advanced to the UEFA Nations League final, set for Sunday, June 8, where they will face either Spain or France in a bid for the title.
