Juventus and PSG yet to reach an agreement on Kolo Muani

Juventus and Paris Saint-Germain are currently at a deadlock over a deal for Randal Kolo Muani.

The French striker who spent the second half of last season on loan with the Bianconerri intends to return to the Serie A club this season.

During his first stint, the Frenchman started well but faltered towards the end of the campaign, which include his participation in the FIFA World Club Cup. The Italian giant had publicly stated their desire to retain him. Kolo Muani has also made a return to the Turin-based side a priority this summer.

About the development, talks have been held between both clubs.  However, they are currently at a deadlock.

According to reports, what led to the issue is the structure of the deal, with Juventus not prepared to pay a large instalment this year.

PSG are looking to garner a fee of around €60m, reportedly leading to the striker being frustrated.

According to recent leaks in Italian media, the former FC Nantes striker has already reached a contractual agreement with Juventus.

Although this remained unconfirmed, Juventus remain the favourites to sign him.

L’Équipe also reported that Manchester United, Tottenham Hotspur, and Newcastle United are all waiting in the wings.

In another development, Marco Asensio is also wanted by Aston Villa.

The 29-year-old midfielder spent the second half of last season with the Birmingham-based club, having a successful short stint.

The Spaniard who joined the Paris club from Real Madrid on a free transfer has returned to the Ligue 1 champions. However, he could yet return to the Premier League side.

L’Équipe reported that Asensio, who is on the periphery at the Paris club is down the pecking order.

During his short stint in England, he scored eight goals in 21 games in all competitions.

Unai Emery is also keen on having the Spaniard again at Villa.
