It’s now certain that Juventus striker Dusan Vlahovic won’t be leaving the club this summer.
This follows a confirmation from general manager Damien Comolli, who said that the Serbian international is 99 percent likely to stay at the Bianconeri. The Serbian will be staying at the club he joined from Fiorentina after a summer of rumours linking the striker away from the Old Lady.
Speaking with Sky Sport after the UEFA Champions League draws, Comolli denies any friction between the attacker and the management, saying he remains part of the team.
“It is 99% that he will stay and be with us for the whole season. There have been many discussions with some clubs, but nothing concrete.”
Comoli has been in charge of Juventus’ transfer market this summer in the absence of a sporting director. He further said his staying is good news because he is an excellent player who also wants to stay.
On the speculation linking French forward Randal Kolo-Muani with a return to Juventus, after the PSG attacker spent the second half of last season on loan in Turin to decent success, the GM said he is not very comfortable talking about players from other clubs.
He further stated that the club are working tirelessly and will continue doing so until Monday night to improve the team.
While noting that a lot of things can happen between now and then, Italian confirmed that the Bianconeri had reached an agreement to sell academy graduate Nicolo Savona to outfit Nottingham Forest.
Comolli further revealed that the deal was closed on Thursday afternoon.
According to Transfer Journalist Fabrizio Romano, Juventus will receive a total package in excess of €15m from Forest for Savona.
Bianconerri had earlier in the week turned down an initial proposal in the region of €11m-€12m from the Premier League side, holding out for a fee in the region of €18m.
