La Liga: Man invades Barcelona game as Real Madrid wins First Game

Despite the resumption of the La Liga being done behind closed doors, Barcelona’s game against Real Mallorca was marred by a pitch invader.

Real Mallorca has stated that it will investigate how the fan gained access into the stadium while the La Liga has said it will take legal decisions.

The invader tried to get a picture with Lionel Messi in the early parts of the second half of the encounter despite the fact that the game was closed to fans’ entry.

La Liga released a statement on the incident and condemned the action while stating the risk attached to such conduct.

“This type of conduct puts the health of others at risk and risks damaging the integrity of the competition,” it added.

Arturo Vidal, Martin Braithwaite, Jordi Alba, and Lionel Messi scored as Barca maintained a two-point gap at the top.

Real Madrid managed to catch up by beating Eibar 3-1. Toni Kroos, Sergio Ramos and Marcelo were on the score sheet as Zidane became only the third Real Madrid manager in history to make 200 matches in all competitions.

Meanwhile, the Madrid game was played at the Alfredo Di Stefano stadium as will other Madrid matches this season as the Santiago Bernabeau is being reconstructed.
