Lionel Messi is the best player in history – Saudi attacker Saleh Al-Amri lauds PSG star

Saudi Arabia International Saleh Al-Amri has tipped Lionel Messi as the best player in the history of the game. Messi recently completed 800 goals (club and country) and he is regarded as one of the best players to have ever graced the sport.

Messi also completed his dream of winning the FIFA World Cup as he led Argentina to glory in Qatar in 2022. The talisman was also awarded the Golden Ball award for scoring seven goals and providing three assists for Lionel Scaloni’s team.

Messi has also won seven Ballon d’Or awards, the most by any player in awards’ history, in his glittering career.

Saleh Al-Amri said in an interview with SSC Sports, “Football, for me, is a way of life, and Lionel Messi is the best player in history. I like to watch him constantly in his matches with his club or the Argentine national team. He will not be repeated in football.”

Messi has been linked to Al-Hilal and Al-Amri is hopeful of playing alongside the Argentine in SPL.

“The issue of his (Lionel Messi’s) presence in the Saudi League is not difficult, and he will be here soon, especially with the great support of Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman and the Ministry of Sports, and I hope that he will play for the club in which I will be in the future.”

As per the latest reports, Messi has reportedly received a €400 million per year offer from Al-Hilal but he wants to stay in Europe, according to the Athletic. Messi has scored 14 goals and has provided as many assists for PSG Saint-Germain in the ongoing season of Ligue 1.

Messi also scored in the Parisians’ 2-0 recent win against Nice. PSG will next face Lens on Saturday night.
