Lobotka: Napoli can dream of Scudetto again

Napoli midfielder Stanislav Lobotka has said the Scudetto is for Napoli to lose.

Lobotka, during a chat with Radio Crc, said Pertonopei can dream and “it is all in our hands’ after catching Inter in the Scudetto race.

While he explains what Scott McTominay and Billy Gilmour bring to the team.

The title race was suddenly opened after Inter Milan suffered a late defeat against Bologna, while Napoli won 1-0 away to Monza over the weekend, putting both teams in joint top spot with 71 points.

If they finish on the same points after 38 games, rather than calculate head-to-head record or goal difference, the Scudetto will be assigned via a play-off match, the first time this has happened since 1964.

“Being at the top of the table is important for me, for the team, and, above all, for Naples. We can dream again and know that it is all in our hands. It’s not easy to play against any opponent in Serie A at this stage of the season, as, we drew with Bologna.

He pointed out that what’s crucial is for the squad to stay concentrated only on their matches and then see where they will be at the end of the season.

It would be another decisive weekend in the title race. Inter recently suffered a semifinal exit from the Coppa Italia and are up against Roma, while Napoli will welcome mid-table Torino to Diego Maradona Stadium.

Speaking ahead of the game, the midfielder pointed out that Torino are a physically strong squad with great individual players and would give them a tough game.

“Every match has its dangers; we saw how tough it was against Monza, as every point is precious at this stage,” he added.

Napoli and Inter hope to get maximum points.

The fight for the Scudetto could go down the wire as things stand, with every game being a final.
