Manchester United willing to sell forward

Despite seemingly reviving his career at German club Borussia Dortmund after helping them to the UEFA Champions League final, where they lost to Real Madrid, England forward Jadon Sancho does not seem to have won back the hearts of the hierarchy at Manchester United as the Premier League club have slapped a £40m price tag on the player.

Sancho fell out with Manchester United manager Erik Ten Hag at the start of the season and was sent to the German club on loan midway into the season, where he showed immense quality. He played 21 games in all competitions for Dortmund and scored three goals and two assists across the UEFA Champions League and the Bundesliga.

His performances were enough to force some sections of the fans to demand for Sancho’s re-instatement into the Manchester United team although that topic was high controversial and hotly debated. It was initially thought that his return to the team will be based on the status of coach Erik Ten Hag as many believed that he cannot return to play with the Dutch coach remaining at the helms of affairs.

However, new reports now suggest that either with him or any other manager, Sancho’s time at Manchester United is over and the club is ready to cash in on him. Sancho has two years left on his contract having joined United from Dortmund for £73m in July 2021.

Manchester United want to sell him off straight away, but Borussia Dortmund are hoping that they can get another loan deal for the player. There are also interests from elsewhere, with Italian club Juventus interested in the situation.

The Red Devils won the FA Cup final in May after beating Manchester City to won at Wembley stadium a result which has brightened the chances of Erik Ten Hag retaining the job as coach of the team.
