Milan gives fitness update on Rabiot, Pulisic, and Giménez ahead of derby

As AC Milan prepare for the Derby della Madonnina against Inter Milan, they have revealed the latest fitness update.

Diavolo seems to have almost a full squad available to Massimiliano Allegri, and the international break brought no new injuries. This is seen as a welcome change after last month’s setback, which came with injury setbacks, and two key players are back in contention.

The break gives Adrien Rabiot and Christian Pulisic the time to recover from their knocks, and they are now available for selection for the former Juventus boss.

According to the latest reports from Tuttosport, the return of the American, who was in top form, is an important option in midfield and attack for Allegri.

According to reports, Pulisic is fully fit and expected to start alongside Rafael Leão, marking the first time the pair will feature together from the opening whistle under Allegri.

However, Milan will have to play without Santi Giménez for the derby. The striker continues to train separately from the group as he works through a muscular issue. This makes his presence in the squad for the derby unlikely as Milan are opting for caution.

Although he seems to have recovered, Rabiot’s playing time will be assessed closer to matchday. The Frenchman has already been training with the rest of the team for several days and is trending positively.

With the availability of Pulisic, Leã, and Rabiot, who is close to full capacity, Allegri will have most of his core available for Sunday.

Leao is already looking forward to the clash, stressing the hunger within the squad.

He told Milan news that all the players are ready for the game and they want to prepare well.

“It’s the derby and Inter have a good group, a good team. For us, it’s also an opportunity to reach the top of the table, and you can already feel the atmosphere for the weekend,” he added.
