Musiala back in Bayern training following health issues

Encouraging progress continues for Jamal Musiala as the Bayern Munich midfielder returned to full team training on Thursday.

Manager Vincent Kompany shared the positive update during his press conference, noting that the 23-year-old is responding well to recent adjustments in his treatment plan following the neurological issues that led to collapses in two preseason matches.

Musiala has been sidelined since those incidents against RB Leipzig and Heidenheim. Bayern have taken a deliberately cautious approach, prioritizing his long-term health over any rush back into action.

His reintegration into group sessions marks a significant milestone in recovery and brings him closer to a competitive return.

Despite the encouraging development, Kompany confirmed Musiala will not feature in Friday’s Bundesliga opener against VfB Stuttgart.

The club is determined not to accelerate the process. Musiala will only rejoin the matchday squad once the medical staff is fully satisfied that the timing is right. The priority remains ensuring he feels comfortable and adapts smoothly to the updated treatment.

For Bayern, seeing their creative star training alongside teammates again is a major boost. Musiala’s vision, technical quality and ability to unlock defenses make him a key figure in the side’s attacking plans.

While no firm timetable has been set for his return to competitive football, Thursday’s session offers fresh optimism that the young talent is steadily moving in the right direction.

Supporters and the club will continue to monitor his progress patiently. The focus stays firmly on a safe and sustainable recovery so that when Musiala does step back onto the pitch, he can do so at full strength and without lingering concerns.

Bayern kick off their Bundesliga campaign against VFB Stuttgart as they look to defend their title.
