Nagelsmann hints at starting the same lineup ahead of Frankfurt tie

 

Following a brilliant transfer window so far for the Bavarians, the German Champions also got things on the right track, as many would have expected.

Bayern kicked off the DFL Super cup ahead of the curtain raiser for the new Bundesliga season during the weekend by smashing RB Leipzig 5-3 to claim the title.

A close look at the game against Leipzig over the weekend showed how Bayern maintained their style by constantly increasing the pressure against Leipzig, which yielded three goals. The voracious counter-attacking play was something the opponents couldn’t handle as they constantly took advantage of Leipzig’s mistakes.

The second half saw Leipzig trying to put up a fight, but the Bavarians held firm to secure the win. This performance might tempt Nagelsmann to reward each player by keeping their place in the team.

Accepting to reports and club media sources, there are strong indications that Bayern manager Julian Nagelsmann will reveal the same team sheet ahead of the Bundesliga opener against Frankfurt this weekend.

Similar to the game weekend, the midfield will get to have the regular Joshua Kimmich and Marcel Sabitzer, with the latter forming a strong partnership and putting up an excellent display in the middle of the park.

As for Jamal Musiala, his consistency ever since breaking into the first team has impressed Nagelsmann as we look to see more of him this season.

As for the defence, Bayern will look to improve and get to keep more clean sheets as they look to take charge of another title defence this campaign.

In terms of Injuries, Leon Goretzka and Eric Maxim Chupo-Moting remain injured as they look to work their way to full fitness, while new signing Mathys Tel will hope to get a sniff towards the first team opportunity as his paperwork nears completion hopefully in the coming days.

Bayern kicks off their Bundesliga title defence against Frankfurt on Friday in a bid to get all three points.
