Neil Lennon Dismisses Reports About Lewis Morgan For Sale

Celtic manager Neil Lennon has confirmed that Lewis Morgan is not for sale irrespective of the price.

Lewis Morgan has found first-team opportunities to come by this season, after falling behind in the pecking order with the likes of Mikey Johnston and Mohamed Elyounoussi in the left-wing position. However, the manager [Lennon] has reaffirmed that the club will not sell the youngster. The forward has already found a new breathe of life at the club as he scored against Rennes last week Thursday.

The Scottish forward, having arrived at the Club early 2018, was loaned back immediately to St.Mirren. He struggled for form and had few appearances during the first part of the season as he was loaned again to Sunderland. And he has made only 14 appearances this season.

Despite having only 14 appearances so far, this has not to stop suitors coming to snap him up. Recent reports state that St.Mirren’s boss Jim Goodwin would love to bring the forward [Morgan] back to the club. A return back to the club where he once made a name for himself will indeed redeem the Celtic star confidence.

However, Neil Lennon has denied several rumors linking Morgan for a possible transfer, insisting he is going nowhere in January. He went on and said,; we have no plans for that. Morgan is an essential player in the squad. He brings a lot of creativity to the team. All he needs to do is to have confidence and believe in himself. The performance against Rennes is all he needs to build on that confidence.

Things have been changing for the 23 year old at Parkhead after scoring in the mid-week against Rennes in the Europa League. He deputized well for the absent Edouard, and he might as well be the second choice for Lennon in the striking department.
