Roma keen on Premier League duo

AS Roma are keen on signing Alejandro Garnacho and Crysencio Summerville from Chelsea and West Ham, respectively.

As a show of intent, the Rome club already tabled a €46 million offer to the West Ham winger as Gian Piero Gasperini continues rebuilding the squad for next season.

They are also not asLso giving up on Alejandro Garnacho despite their advancing move for Summerville, with the possibility of signing both wingers still alive.

Alfredo Pedulla reported that the pursuit of Summerville is on, as dialogue over the Chelsea forward continues in parallel.

To maximise his squad for efficiency, the former Atalanta boss wants at least two new wide men for his attack.

Although Summerville’s progress does not close the door on Garnacho, a double swoop is not guaranteed.

According to Pedulla, the two deals are not mutually exclusive.

Pedulla, who has also moved to shut down suggestions of Roma interest in Nahuel Molina, who is still with Spain at the World Cup, also dismissed other links with Dodo as names thrown around without foundation.

Having secured the Netherlands international agreement, the Rome club have cheaper alternatives such as Ajax’s Mika Godts.

The Giallorossi are deliberately widening their options as they chase the marquee reinforcements Gasperini has demanded for a squad returning to the Champions League.

Garnacho’s exit could be as easy as he is currently out of favour at Stamford Bridge and open to a move. The name of the Argentine remains firmly among the names in the frame.

Having tabled their offer, West Ham are expected to respond, and a deal could be struck this week, but the Hammers are yet to react to the bid for a player they value at around  €50m.

According to Matteo Moretto,  Roma are waiting for a response from West Ham to their offer for Summerville by either Monday or Tuesday.

The Hammers are reportedly holding out for a €50 million fee while Tuttomercato and other media outlets report that Roma’s proposal is worth €46m.

If both parties can reach an agreement on time, the length and salary of the Dutch winger in the capital are not expected to be an issue for the Serie A club.
