Scott Parker: Brentford has done well this year

Fulham coach, Scott Parker has commended Brentford FC over their performance in the championship so far.

The former England midfielder is getting his lads ready for what will be a difficult encounter tonight.

Brentford had won their first meeting at Griffin Park earlier in the season, making Parker laud their manager, Thomas Frank for the job done so far.

Describing the game as massive as part of their campaign for instant promotion back to the English Premier League, Parker said their London counterpart is just behind them on the log with nice performance against them earlier in the season.

While noting that Brentford deserved the win at Griffin Park, he said that his lads were a little bit off it that day.

Parker, who also pointed out that Brentford had done well this year, added that there’s a big task ahead of his team and tonight’s game is a challenge they must overcome.

Brentford is one of the top-scoring team in the division. For this reason, they have been applauded for their attacking play, all thanks to their forwards Ollie Watkins, Bryan Mbeumo and Said Benrahma, who have shared 46 goals between them.

Speaking on Brentford’s front three, Parker, who said that they are outstanding is aware of the dangers they possess in the final third, adding that they’re a very good side all over the pitch.

While noting that they are coming out of some bad results, Parker said Fulham would be prepared, and they are poised to get the maximum points.

On the impact of the deadly coronavirus on the sports, with playing matches behind closed being on other options mooted, Parker said it would be good for the fans not to miss out on supporting their team.

Speaking further, he stated that having a home crowd help team is always good, adding that he wants to be running out with thousands of home fans supporting the team.
