PSG receive triple boost ahead of Man City UCL clash

Paris Saint-Germain will witness the return of Ousmane Dembélé, captain Marquinhos, and Achraf Hakimi to action as they continue the push for a Knockout stage ticket for this season’s edition of the UEFA Champions League.

Their passage to the knockout stage may hinge on Wednesday night’s match against Manchester City.

The French champions occupy the 25th spot in the new Champions League structure table, below the qualification places for the playoff phase.

PSG desperately need a result when they host Manchester City at the Parc des Princes.

Pep Guardiola’s side also needs a result in Paris to further their hopes of qualification. The Premier League side sit 22nd, just one point ahead of PSG ahead of the penultimate game week.

Although Man City seem to have shaken off their bad form, Les Parisiens have received a boost ahead of the game.

According to RMC Sport,  Dembélé,  Hakimi, and club captain Marquinhos,  who missed the 2-1 victory over RC Lens at the weekend, were involved in first-team training on Monday.

According to the report, all three players are guaranteed starters under Luis Enrique when fit, will play against Manchester City as PSG look to bolster their qualification hopes.

This is expected to be a tough duel between both sides. Both sides need maximum points to secure a playoff spot in the European elite competition. Both sides have not been in the best of form in the competition this season.

Guardiola and Enrique, both former Barcelona players, will face each other as managers this time around to seal their fate in the competition.

Man City will be going into this clash with a lot of confidence. They emphatically won their last game at Ipswich Town, which announced their return to form.

PSG are also expected to up their game against the English champions, as the stakes are high for the game already
