The latest reports in Italy say Inter Milan have inquired about the availability of Manchester United forward Rasmus Hojlund as they prepare for summer.
This is following an early inquiry reportedly by Juventus and Napoli.
According to the latest reports, Inter have made preliminary contact to determine Hojlund’s availability for a summer transfer.
Fabrizio Romano and Matteo Moretto reported that Inter were interested in Hojlund even before he left for United from Atalanta.
The Nerazzurri lost out in the race for his signature because they could not match the fee exceeding €75m paid by the Red Devils to sign the Denmark international in 2023.
According to the latest update from Romano and Moretto, Inter have inquired about the striker’s availability and the possible terms of the deal with Manchester United.
Romano said Inter will have an important summer in attack, with some big changes. This suggests that the Nerazzurri will listen to offers for Mehdi Taremi, Marko Arnautovic and Joaquin Correa. The trio have been bit-par players in Simone Inzaghi’s squad.
Inter and Juventus will have an extra transfer window available at the start of June due to their participation in the Club World Cup.
Although transfer plans are important, what’s on the front burner for the Nerazzurri are the Serie A decider against Como on Friday, followed by the Champions League final just a week later.
These games are two finals that will require coach Simone Inzaghi to carefully manage his squad.
The former Lazio manager must find a way to avoid fatigue and injuries ahead of the clash with PSG while remaining ready to capitalize on any potential slip-up from Napoli.
The Nerazzurri go into the final Serie A matchday one point behind Antonio Conte’s side. They hope the Partenopei drop points at home against Cagliari to have a chance of pulling off a last-minute upset in the Scudetto race.
