Real Madrid set to create space for Endrick in Los Blancos squad

Endrick is set to be reintegrated into the Real Madrid squad for the 2026–27 season, with the club reportedly preparing to offload a promising young player to make room for the Brazilian forward.

The decision follows an impressive resurgence during his loan spell at Lyon, where he has rediscovered form and confidence.

The 19-year-old initially joined Madrid from Palmeiras in 2024 and scored seven goals in 37 appearances during his debut campaign.

However, his opportunities became limited following the appointment of Xabi Alonso as head coach, restricting him to just three appearances in the first half of the current season before he was loaned out in January.

Since arriving at Lyon, Endrick has thrived, contributing eight goals in his first 11 Ligue 1 matches.

His performances have not only boosted his reputation but also earned him a recall to the Brazil national team ahead of this summer’s World Cup, underlining his growing importance on the international stage.

Madrid have reportedly made it clear that they will not consider any offers for Endrick in the upcoming transfer window.

With Alvaro Arbeloa now in charge following Alonso’s departure in January, the club sees an opportunity to give the young forward a fresh start and a more prominent role.

The decision is expected to come at the expense of Gonzalo Garcia, who is likely to be sold despite signing a contract extension until 2030.

The 22-year-old has scored six goals in 33 appearances this season but has struggled to secure a consistent starting place, prompting Madrid to consider a move that would aid his development elsewhere.

However, Madrid are expected to include a buy-back clause in any deal for Garcia, mirroring previous transfers involving academy graduates.

Players such as Nico Paz, Jacobo Ramon, and Chema Andres have all been sold under similar conditions, leaving the door open for a potential return to the Santiago Bernabéu in the future.
