Al Nassr head coach Rudi Garcia believes Cristiano Ronaldo will go back to Europe and he will not end his career at the club. Ronaldo recently made a move to Al Nassr after signing a 2-1/2 year contract estimated by media to be worth more than 200 million euros ($210 million).
As per the reports, Ronaldo, 37, would be paid another 200 million euros to support Saudi Arabia’s World Cup bid. After signing the whopping deal, Ronaldo said that his work in Europe is done as he has achieved everything.
Meanwhile, in the Saudi Super Cup semifinal, Al Nassr was knocked out by arch-rivals Al Ittihad last week. In fact, Ronaldo had a chance to score for his new team but he could not take his opportunity.
“Cristiano Ronaldo is a positive addition, as he helps to disperse defenders,” said Garcia.
“Ronaldo missed a chance on goal that would have turned the game around in the first half but I congratulate Al Ittihad,” said Garcia before adding, “He is one of the best players in the world. He will not finish his career at Al Nassr, he will return to Europe.”
Gracia has urged his players to not get overawed by Ronaldo’s presence on the field and has asked them to make the right decisions on the field.
“It is very important that the players play normally and do not always try to give Cristiano the ball. I told them they had to make the right decisions on the field. Obviously, when Cristiano or Talisca are alone and ask for the ball, we have to give them the ball,” added the coach.
Meanwhile, Ronaldo had scored a brace against PSG Saint-Germain in the friendly match and he was awarded the Player of the Match despite his team’s 5-4 loss. Ronaldo has thus far played two official matches for Al Nassr but he is yet to find the back of the net.
