Arsenal star Bukayo Saka is close to committing his long-term future to the club, with talks over a new contract extension now in their “final stages,” according to reports.
The England international is expected to sign a deal that will keep him at the Emirates Stadium until 2030, as Premier League leaders Arsenal move to secure the future of one of their most influential players.
Saka’s current contract runs until 2027, but Arsenal have accelerated negotiations as his importance to Mikel Arteta’s team continues to grow.
An agreement has already been reached in principle, with both parties confident of finalising the details soon. Saka, who joined Arsenal’s academy at age seven, has developed into one of Europe’s most exciting wingers and a cornerstone of the club’s long-term project.
The 24-year-old has repeatedly expressed his desire to win major trophies with Arsenal, reaffirming his commitment earlier in the year.
Saka also openly stated his ambition to lift more silverware as Arsenal challenge for the Premier League and Champions League titles this season.
Saka is set to follow William Saliba in signing fresh terms, continuing Arsenal’s push to secure their young core.
Saliba extended his contract in September, earning praise from Arteta, who described the defender as a leader loved throughout the club.
Arsenal are also planning further contract business once Saka’s deal is completed.
The club reportedly aims to tie down Declan Rice and Jurrien Timber to new long-term agreements as they continue building a squad capable of sustained domestic and European success.
Saka has returned to London Colney after England duty and now faces a daunting run of fixtures with Arsenal.
The Gunners meet rivals Tottenham in a high-stakes north London derby on Sunday before hosting Bayern Munich in the Champions League, where both sides boast perfect records.
Arsenal then travel to Stamford Bridge for another major Premier League test, with Saka expected to play a key role throughout the demanding stretch.
