Sergio Ramos sets for PSG debut against Manchester City

Paris Saint-Germane defender, Sergio Ramos is set to make his debut for the French club.

The Real Madrid legend is yet to kick a ball for the club he joined four months ago. According to the French media, Ramos returned to full training after battling injuries. Therefore,  Mauricio Pochettino is expected to include the Spain defender in his squad to face Manchester City in the Champions League.

L’Equipe said Ramos has been given the all-clear for competitive action after suffering a string of injuries since arriving at the Parisian side from the Bernabéu on a free transfer during the summer.

Having been closer to a return on a couple of occasions, Ramos had failed to shake off persistent knee and calf issues. The 35-year-old is hoping to be injury-free to play7 the remaining game of the season.

Ramos was expected to be named in the matchday squad against Nantes last weekend but PSG’s medical staff advised Pochettino to hold off on naming the Spaniard among his squad.

It was gathered that Ramos 0n Monday, trained with the rest of the squad in his third week of full training with no ill effects.

Ramos is therefore expected to get the nod from Pochettino for the crucial clash against Pep Guardiola’s City

PSG is currently a point behind City in Group A. Kylian Mbappé was permitted to miss training at the club’s Camps des Loges complex on Monday as just a precaution.

PSG is likely to have club Captain Marquinhos, Presnel Kimpembe and Gianluigi Donnarumma, back in the squad after they all missed the Nantes games, for the trip to the Etihad.

A win against the English champions will give them qualification for the next round of the Champions League as boys are being separated from the men.

Man City could qualify as the runners-up in the group.
