Son’s Goal Condemns Norwich To a Defeat

Norwich City on Wednesday night were denied a point at the White Hart Lane when Son Heung-Min’s 79th-minute goal broke the hearts of the Canaries fans who traveled to London.

The Canaries were hoping for a third win in five games in all competitions after beating Bournemouth 1-0 at Carrow Road and Preston 4-2 away in the FA Cup.
Jose Mourinho’s side has been inconsistent too, drawing two, winning two and losing one of their last 5 games in all competitions.

The game on Wednesday night started in Spurs favor with Dele Alli scoring from a Serge Aurier assist in the 38th minute of the first half.

Teemu Pukki gave Norwich a chance to grab something from the gave as he scored an equaliser in the 70th minute from the penalty spot.

However, Son Heung-Min, nine minutes after Pukki’s goal, put the hosts back into the lead and secured the win for Tottenham Hotspurs.

While the hosts dominated the first half of the game with seven shots on target, the second half was more of a balanced affair between both sides who are in desperate need of consistency and wins.

While Tottenham is six points from the top 4 as they sit sixth with 34 points and Chelsea are in 4th with 40 points, Norwich are battling relegation with seated rock bottom with 17 points, six points away from safety.

Up next for both sides include a visit of Manchester City on February 2 at the White Hart Lane while Norwich City travels to the Sports Direct Arena to be guests to Newcastle united.

In other games, Ayoze Perez scored twice to ensue Leicester City Beat West Ham United 4-1. Ricardo Pereira and Harvey Barnes also added to the goals for the foxes.

At the Old Trafford, Burnley recorded a shock 2-0 win over Manchester United, Chris Woods, and Jay Rodriguez were the scorers.
