Villarreal forward Arnaut Danjuma will continue to play in the Premier League for another season after the Yellow Submarines agreed with Everton to allow the Dutch forward to spend the 2023/2024 season on loan at the Merseyside.
It is not the first time that Danjuma will be playing in the Premier League after previously featuring for Bournemouth and Tottenham last season, although he was only able to make 23 appearances combined across two different seasons.
Last season I played a paltry 9 games in the Premier League for Tottenham, scoring a single goal, or although he did play another 10 in La Liga for his parent club Villarreal.
Interestingly, the 26-year-old had an agreement with Everton to join in January, only to move to Tottenham immediately after Spurs agreed on a deal. Meanwhile, he will spend the whole of the 2023/24 season on loan thanks to the season-long deal agreed.
However, the forward eventually revealed that Everton’s uncertain coaching situation in January forced him out of a move to Merseyside in January and in all honesty, the Toffees sacked Frank Lampard on the 23rd of January only to hire former Burnley manager Sean Dyche a day before the close of the winter transfer window.
The six-cap Dutch forward has now become Sean Dyche’s second signing of the summer after Ashley Young joined the club as a free agent.
“I think it makes it even more beautiful for me to join now, I had interest from other clubs, but there was a pull towards Everton because of the fans, the manager, and the history of the club. It is second time lucky for me.” Danjuma said.
Villarreal has also lost a couple of players this summer, including Pau Torres, who joined former Villarreal manager Unai Emery at Aston Villa in the Premier League.
