Former Teammate Hilariously Trolls Russell Westbrook for Blake Griffin’s Mammoth Dunk on Him

The Los Angeles Clippers were earlier known as “Lob City Clippers” and it was mostly due to former duo DeAndre Jordan and Blake Griffin who were famous for throwing insane alley-oop dunks.

A lot of those dunks were against former NBA Champion centre Kendrick Perkins and even one of them is listed in the most vicious dunks in NBA history. The dunk happened nine years ago when Griffin humiliated Perkins. Although the former player was humiliated back in that time, he has now gone past it and in fact, he reacted to it on Twitter. Perkins tweeted: “Thanks Russ and Serge for not switching the pick n roll! I really appreciate it, Fellas.”

During that time, Griffin was mainly known for his amazing dunking ability. But over the years Griffin’s career has been marred with injuries and hence he lost his athleticism. He is still a top player in the NBA but obviously not at the level he was at the Clippers.

The 31-year old power forward was the no.1 overall pick for the Clippers and he was amazing right from the go. However after eight seasons with the Clippers and achieving nothing with the club Griffin parted ways. He was still a great player and someone who could have made a difference but the franchise simply lost the trust in him and he also lost aspects from his game which made him a fan favourite at the Clippers.

Griffin has revived his career at the Detroit Pistons. The 31-year old has also changed his game according to the way best suited to him and his team. Griffin currently contributes in Pistons’ all-round gameplay and has been a top man for Dwayne Casey’s men. Even his three-point shot has also improved which proves his dedication towards his game. The three-point success will also allow him longevity in the NBA. Especially this season Griffin’s production has taken a hit, as he is averaging just 13.1 points per game while shooting less than 40% from the field. It looks like Griffin has finally found his mojo at Detroit and hopefully, he will be able to revive his career and reach the lofty standards he was once expected to reach.
