He has taken crown for being the greatest little man to ever play the game of basketball: Kendrick Perkins on Steph Curry

Former NBA champion Kendrick Perkins has rated Steph Curry as the greatest little man to ever play the game of basketball. Curry is mostly regarded as the best shooter in the game and he came up with a scintillating performance in the NBA Finals against Boston Celtics.

The Golden State Warriors defeated Boston Celtics by 103-90 in Game 6 of NBA Finals to take the series by 4-2. Curry was once again the star of the show as he scored 34 points in the sixth game.

The talisman was awarded the Bill Russell Finals MVP award for his prolific performance throughout the series.

Meanwhile, Steph Curry is not the tallest of Basketball players as his height is only 1.88 meters, which is well below the average height of most players.

Kendrick Perkins said while talking to ESPN’s NBA Today, “Took the crown for being the greatest little man to ever play the game of basketball. When we talk about guys like Isiah Thomas and Kyrie Irving, I think Steph Curry actually has, last night, put himself in a whole other category, a whole other stratosphere.

Perkins showered praise on Curry for his superb handling of the ball and his skills to finish around the basket.

“Not only the best shooter, he doesn’t get enough credit for being skilled. Like one of the best to handle the ball, and one of the best to finish around the basket. And when it mattered the most, every single time the Celtics was trying to make a run, he answered, and he answered in great fashion.”

Curry averaged 31.2 points, 6.0 rebounds, 5.0 assists and 2.0 steals while shooting 48.2% overall in the NBA Finals as he was at his best. Thus, the 34-year-old veteran played an instrumental role in taking GSW to the fourth title in the last eight years to continue its dynasty.
