Despite Mikal Bridges’ late push — a career-high eight 3-pointers as part of his 35-point night — the Knicks couldn’t close the gap after cutting Boston’s lead to 119-115 with 45.5 seconds left. Karl-Anthony Towns contributed 29 points and seven rebounds, but New York’s four-game winning streak came to an end.

Scottie Barnes led Toronto with 28 points as the Raptors opened a five-game homestand with a narrow win over the Portland Trail Blazers. Immanuel Quickley chipped in 23 points, and Toronto extended its home winning streak to eight games. Brandon Ingram scored 21 for the Raptors.
Deni Avdija posted 25 points, 14 assists, and eight rebounds in an impressive all-around effort for Portland, while Shaedon Sharpe added 23. Donovan Clingan finished with a double-double of 11 points and 11 boards as the Trail Blazers dropped their third straight.
