Los Angeles Lakers legend Magic Johnson very unhappy with the 0-4 record start to the new season

The Los Angeles Lakers have had a horrible start to the new season as they are 0-4 down and are suffering from shooting woes due to lack of long range shooters in their roster. Hence they have not won a single game this season. Former Lakers legend Magic Johnson was very displeased with the way the Lakers played as he said that this can be a long season for the Lakers fans without proper long range shooters.

He vented out his disappointment on Twitter as the Lakers suffered their fourth consecutive defeat of the season with poor shooting statistics once again. After last season expectations from the Purple and Gold army was very high as they recruited a new coach in Darvin Ham who was very confident at the start of the season that he understands team dynamics and how he can get the better of all of the players available in the roster including Russell Westbrook. It currently looks like they are playing worse than last season when they went 33-49 and their season ended without postseason.

This 0-4 record has been concerning for many fans which also includes former legend Magic Johnson. The shooting that was bad last season has not improved and there are hardly any answers from the players and the coach. Hence Johnson who is a five time NBA Champion tweeted that if they dont shoot better then it will be a long season for the Lakers fans.

“I’m agonizing over the Lakers play, the lack of shooting, and the 0-4 record,” Johnson tweeted. “If my Lakers don’t start shooting better, this could be a longgg season for us Laker fans,” Magic Johnson tweeted.

Many people are angry with the Los Angeles Lakers starting with a 0-4 record. It is the worst record in LeBron James’ career since his rookie year back in 2003 with the Cleveland Cavaliers. One can clearly see that the Purple and Gold army need a proper long range shooter who can knock down wide open looks and give this team that momentum that they need going forward in the season. It is now up to the  general manager Rob Pelinka to find out solutions and make changes in the roster and it is not going to be easy.

The Los Angeles Lakers turned the ball over too many times in the last game against the Denver Nuggets and hence they lost 110-99 and now things do not get easy for the Lakers as they will face the Minnesota Timberwolves in the coming game and it will be a test of their character and nerve to atleast get off the mark for the season.
